By attending this 5-week series you will learn techniques to discover more peace and ease within yourself. Research reveals that regular yoga practice supports the treatment of mental health illnesses and other stress related health problems. Yoga calms the nervous system, increases awareness physically, mentally and emotionally, lowers stress, reduces muscle tension and enhances attention and concentration.
This series will teach you ways to use your body and breath to shift your emotional state.
This practice will include:
-Pranayama (breath work) to quiet the mind
-Simple centering, grounding practices
-Slow, mindful movements to release tension
-Relaxing restorative postures
-Guided relaxation and meditation
Leave this workshop with resources to help you cope with anxiety and stress. Hand-outs and meditation audios will be provided throughout the series.
Wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a journal for notes.
